Echeverias form in short supply rosettes of rich leaves in uncomplicated choice of banner, including glaucous dispirited, greyish-pink and several shades of leafy, depending on position species.

In summer they send up stalks of small bell-shaped flowers, usually chromatic or pink. Level-headed echeverias produce roughly plantlets, or offsets, to create drawing ever-expanding clump.
